Mobile FTIR

The national facility Mobile FTIR consists of a Bruker 80V FT spectrometer. It is housed in a container, but can also used stand alone. The University of Bremen can provide devices which are necessary to operate the instrument. This includes

  IP equipment
  Equipment to provide dry air to operate and purge the instrument.
  Equipment to automatically cool the detectors
  The Uni Bremen provides assistence to set up the instrument.

Ammonia measurements in Cabauw, Netherlands

In 2023, a small mobile facility was operated in Cabauw, Netherlands as part of a campaign conducted by Dr. Enrico Dammers, TNO Netherlands to measure timely dens diurnal cycles of Ammonia.

Replacement at Jungfraujoch, Switzerland

FTIR measurements at Jungfraujoch are performed since 1984. First a self-build instrument whiyh was replaced by a Bruker 120HR, which was upgraded 2025 to the new electronics. In 2024 the instrument of the mobile facility was installed on the observation station at Jungfraujoch during renovation of the FTIR lab and the upgrade of the existing spectrometer.
